OtoQ Car Rental Terms and Conditions
General Terms
Supplier may refuse or cancel booking if rental requirements are not met. Ensure sufficient funds on driver's credit/debit card. A valid driving license and passport must be presented. Additional drivers must meet the same requirements; first driver included, others incur daily fees. Airport shuttle service is free during office hours for stations outside airport perimeter. Return vehicle at the agreed station in original condition, with fuel and parts intact, normal wear excepted. Roadside assistance covers mechanical faults; driver negligence (lost keys, empty fuel) may incur fees. Reservations not picked up on time are considered no-show and may be cancelled 59 minutes after the grace period with a no-show fee applied. Tolls/highway fees are driver's responsibility. Smoking prohibited.
Security Deposit
A security deposit is required at vehicle collection, deducted from credit/debit card according to chosen insurance. Cash not accepted.
Restricted Roads / Areas of Use
Driving on dirt, off-road, sand, or water is strictly prohibited. Vehicles have GPS trackers. No insurance covers off-road damage; €300 penalty applies regardless of damage.
Optional Items / Extras
Available at booking or pickup, subject to availability and may change without notice.
Traffic Infringements & Fines
Renter is responsible for all fines, tolls, etc. Administration fees apply for processing.
Age Requirements
Minimum 21 years for MINI, ECONOMY, COMPACT, INTERMEDIATE; minimum 24 years for other categories. Maximum age 85. Young (<24) or senior (>71) drivers incur 10€/day, up to 100€.
Mileage Policy
- Unlimited mileage included. Excessive/abusive use may incur penalties.
Fuel Policy
Same-to-same: return vehicle with same fuel level. Missing fuel charged plus 20€ refueling fee.
One-Way Rentals
Permitted with 48-hour notice; one-way fee applies.
Driver License Rules
Drivers must have valid license for rental period, held at least 1 year. Non-Latin licenses require IDP or certified translation. Additional ID/address verification may be required.
Amendments to Bookings
Notify office of delays before pickup. No refunds for early return, reduced days, or downgrades.
Cancellation Policy
Written cancellation only. Up to 48h before pickup: full refund. 24–48h: 50% refund. Less than 24h: no refund. Refunds may take up to 30 business days.
Compensation Policy
For unaccommodated bookings due to local office liability, compensation is up to the booking price, not exceeding total on voucher.
Service Out of Hours
Available on request; fees apply for pick-up/drop-off.
Additional Driver
Daily surcharge 5€, max 50€. Max 3 additional drivers allowed. Must meet all renter requirements.
Late Return
After 60 minutes late: full-day rate plus 25€ late fee.
Cross Border Policy
Not available unless written permission obtained. Fees and green card expenses apply where allowed.
Damage Waiver (CDW)
- Deductibles: 650€ MINI/ECONOMY, 790€ COMPACT, 1100€ INTERMEDIATE/Mini-SUV, 1600€ SUV/Hybrid/7-seats VAN, 2500€ PREMIUM/LUXURY/9-seats VAN.
- Does not cover undercarriage, interior, windshield, mirrors, keys, antenna, incorrect fuel, ferry transport without authorization, acts of God, terrorist attacks, wheels, tires.
- Administration fee (D.A.F.) 40€ and/or Airport Fee apply for damages/theft. Police report required.
Full Damage Waiver (FDW)
Optional; reduces CDW deductible to zero if damage is not due to traffic violations. Does not cover interior, undercarriage, windshield, mirrors, keys, antenna, ferry transport, wheels/tires. Stained interiors or very dirty exterior: 30–150€ cleaning. Off-road towing charges apply.
Wheels, Underside, Glass Protection (WUG)
Available with FDW in specific locations. Covers underside, wheels, tires, mirrors, windshield, keys, antenna, ferry transport damages if not due to traffic violations.
Supplemental Liability Protection (SLP)
Covers third-party bodily injury/property damage up to 1,220,000€ each.
Theft Protection
- Deductibles: 450€ MINI/ECONOMY, 650€ COMPACT/INTERMEDIATE, 1200€ MINI-VAN/7-seats/9-seats VAN, 1500€ PREMIUM/LUXURY.
- Key and police report required. Personal items, attempted theft, acts of God, terrorism not covered.
Delivery & Collection
Available upon request; extra charge 1€/km + VAT.
Car Keys
Return to company representative. Loss incurs extra charges.
Inclusive Policy
Includes unlimited mileage, CDW, TP, third-party liability, airport fees, VAT. Extra products subject to fees and VAT.
Forms of Payment
- Accepted: Visa/MasterCard (credit/debit) in main driver’s name.
- Not accepted: AMEX, virtual, prepaid, internet-only bank cards.
Deposit
Credit/debit card hold for estimated rental + up to 100€. Released by bank up to 30 business days post-return. Must be main driver’s card.
Roadside Assistance
Free 24/7 for mechanical faults. Driver negligence costs apply (e.g., off-road, lost keys).
Renter Requirements
License held 12+ months. EU/Swiss: no IDP required. Others: valid IDP or certified translation. Additional ID may be requested. Check local regulations before arrival.
Cleaning Fees
Excessive dirt: 30–150€.
Refund Policy
Refunds up to 12 weeks. No chargeback without prior approval.
