Rental Terms and conditions
General Terms
- Supplier can refuse or cancel bookings if renting requirements are not met.
- Driver's credit card must have sufficient funds.
- Valid driving license and passport required for all drivers.
- Additional drivers must meet same requirements; extra daily charge may apply.
- Airport shuttle service available free within normal office hours.
- Vehicle must be returned at pre-arranged station in original condition to avoid charges.
- Roadside assistance available; fees may apply if call-out is due to driver negligence.
- Reservation considered NO-SHOW if not present on time without prior notice.
- Local tolls/highway fees are driver’s responsibility.
- Smoking is prohibited in all vehicles.
Security Deposit
- Security deposit required at vehicle collection, according to chosen insurance package.
- Cash deposits are not accepted.
Restricted roads / areas of use
- Driving off-road, on dirt, sand, or through water is prohibited.
- GPS trackers installed; off-road damage not covered by insurance. €300 penalty applies for violations.
Optional items / extras
- Special equipment and optional extras available on request, subject to availability.
Traffic infringements & Fines
- Renter responsible for all fines; administration fees apply.
Age rules
- Minimum age 21 for MINI, ECONOMY, COMPACT, INTERMEDIATE; 24 for other categories. Maximum 85 years old.
- Additional fees may apply for young or senior drivers.
Mileage policy
- Unlimited mileage included.
- Fair usage policy applies; excessive use may incur penalties.
Fuel policy
- Same to Same Policy: return vehicle with same fuel level; missing fuel incurs charge of 25€ + missing fuel price per liter according to gas station price at that time.
One-way rentals
- Allowed with 48-hour notice; one-way fee applies.
Driver licence rules
- Valid license from country of residence required.
- Non-Latin licenses require International license or official translation.
- License must be valid for full rental period and held minimum 1 year.
- Additional proof of identity and address may be required.
Amendments to bookings
- Inform office immediately in case of delays.
- No refund for early return, shorter rental, or vehicle downgrade.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation must be in writing; phone cancellations not accepted.
- Up to 48 hours before pick-up: full refund.
- 24-48 hours before pick-up: 50% refund.
- Less than 24 hours: no refund.
- Refunds may take up to 30 business days.
Service out of business hours
- Available on request; fees apply.
- Compensation up to booking price in rare unaccommodated cases.
Full Terms
Additional Driver
- Additional drivers must meet renter requirements. Daily fee 10€, max 100€.
- Max 3 additional drivers allowed.
Out of Hours Service
- Pick-up/drop-off beyond hours incurs 50€ fee including airport fee.
Late Return
- After 60 minutes: full-day rate + 40€ late fee.
Age Requirements
- Minimum 21 years (MINI to INTERMEDIATE), minimum 1 year license.
- Other categories: min 24 years, min 3 years license.
- Additional fees for <24 or >71 years old: 14€/day, max 140€.
Cross Border Policy
- Allowed only with written permission; extra fees apply. Green card expenses paid locally.
Damage Waiver
- Covers renter liability for damages except certain exclusions (road code violations, undercarriage, interior, windshield, etc.)
- Deductible varies by car group (650€–2500€).
- Accident Statement required for insurance coverage; admin fees may apply for damages/theft.
Delivery and Collection
- Available on request, extra charge of 1.5€/km + VAT; within pick-up/drop-off city, other cities upon request via bookings@otoq.rent.
One Way Drop Policy
- Available on request; one-way fee applies; request during booking.
Inclusive Policy
- Charges include unlimited mileage, CDW, TP, third-party liability, airport fees, VAT.
- Extra equipment/protection products may incur additional fees.
Forms of Payment
- Payments accepted: Mastercard Debit, Visa Debit, Mastercard Credit, Visa Credit (must be in physical form).
- Not accepted: American Express, prepaid cards, virtual or online cards.
Deposit
- Deposit accepted only by credit card in the driver’s name: Mastercard Credit or Visa Credit (must be in physical form). Estimated rental amount, excess, plus up to 100€ will be authorized; funds may remain unavailable for up to 30 business days.
