Rental Terms and Conditions

General Terms

Supplier may refuse or cancel booking if renting requirements are not met.
Ensure sufficient funds are available on your debit or credit card.
All drivers must hold a valid driving license and passport.
For licenses issued outside the country of collection, passport must be presented. Additional drivers must meet same license requirements; first driver included, daily charge applies for additional drivers.
Vehicle covered by roadside assistance for mechanical faults; driver negligence (lost keys, empty fuel) may incur fees.
No-show: failure to collect vehicle on time may incur a fee.
Vehicle must be returned on time in the same condition, normal wear excepted.
Driver may be responsible for local tolls/highway fees.
Smoking is prohibited.

Security Bond

Security bond required at collection, deducted from credit card; cash not accepted.

Restricted Roads / Areas of Use

Driving on unpaved or off-road areas is prohibited. No insurance covers such use; renter fully liable for damages.

Optional Items / Extras

Special equipment or extras may be requested at booking, subject to availability and change.

Traffic Infringements

Renter responsible for fines (speeding, parking, toll evasion). Supplier charges administration fee.

Driver Age Requirements

MINI, ECONOMY: min 21, license ≥1 year.
LUXURY, MINI VANS, SUVs: min 24, license ≥3 years.
Young drivers (<25): $25/day, max $250.
Senior drivers (71–75): $25/day, max $250.
Maximum rental age: 75 years.

Mileage Policy

Unlimited mileage included. OtoQ implements fair usage policy; excessive use may incur penalties.

Fuel Policy

Like-for-Like: return vehicle with same fuel level. Missing fuel charged plus $25 fee.

One-Way Rentals

Not permitted.

Driver License Rules

All drivers must carry a valid full license from their country. Non-Latin licenses require International Driving Permit or official translation.
License must be valid for rental period and held ≥1 year.
Additional proof of identity/address may be required.
Contact office immediately if delayed; after 1 hour booking may be canceled.
No refund for early return, reduced days, or vehicle downgrade.

Service Outside Normal Business Hours

Available for $50 per pickup, drop-off, or both.

Additional Driver

Must meet renter requirements; can be added at any branch.
Daily surcharge: $10, max $100. Max 2 additional drivers.

Late Return

After 60 min: full-day rate + $25 late fee.

Age Requirements

MINI, ECONOMY, COMPACT, INTERMEDIATE: min 21.
Other categories: min 24.

Cross Border Policy

Not allowed.

Damage Waiver

Covers renter liability excluding traffic violations.
Deductibles: MINI/ECONOMY $1000; COMPACT/INTERMEDIATE $1500; MINI SUV/SUV $1700; VANS/MINI VANS/PREMIUM/LUXURY $2250.
CDW exclusions: undercarriage, interior, windshield, mirrors, key/antenna damage, incorrect fuel, ferry transport w/o authorization, acts of God, terrorism, wheels/tires.
CDW void if damage caused by DUI, unauthorized drivers, racing, unlicensed drivers, border violations, towing/pushing, intentional/negligent damage, off-road, hire use, traffic law violations, failure to secure keys/vehicle.
Police report mandatory for coverage.

Delivery and Collection

On request. Free within 15km office hours; beyond 15km: $0.80/km incl. airport fee.

One Way Drop Policy

Not available at this location.

Inclusive Policy

Includes unlimited mileage, CDW, Theft Protection, Supplemental Liability, airport fee, VAT. Extras may be purchased; VAT/airport fee applies.

Forms of Payment

Credit/debit card in renter’s name required. Visa/MasterCard accepted; debit cards not accepted for deposit.
Deposit: $500 + up to $150 fuel hold.
Refunds up to 30 days.

Roadside Protection

Free 24/7 assistance. Driver negligence (lights left on, key damage, off-road) charged to renter.

Renter Requirements

License ≥12 months old. Accepted national licenses listed; IDP required for non-EU/Swiss licenses.
All drivers must present full license + ID/passport; additional checks may apply.

Cleanliness / Detailing

Extremely dirty vehicles: $30–$150 cleaning fee.

Supplemental Liability Protection

Covers up to $10,000 per person for bodily injury/death and $10,000 for third-party property damage.

Theft Protection

Deductibles: MINI/ECONOMY $1000; COMPACT/INTERMEDIATE $1500; MINI SUV/SUV $1700; VANS/MINI VANS/PREMIUM/LUXURY $2250.
Attempted theft, key loss, personal belongings, acts of God, terrorism not covered.
Police report + key required for coverage.
